Vacanti AI didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a stack of rejected applications, a half-finished cover letter at 1am, and the quiet realisation that the Australian job market has its own rules nobody writes down.
We're Cubic Innov8 Group, a Sydney-based team building products that connect international talent with Australian opportunities. Our founding team moved to Sydney from Asia years ago. Student visa, then 485, then the long road that every international candidate in this country knows by heart.
We've sat on both sides of the table. Through our sister brand Zepi, we run an IT-focused study abroad and recruitment agency placing international talent into Australian tech companies. We've reviewed thousands of resumes from candidates trying to land their first AU role. We've also written our own, been rejected, been ghosted, and learned the hard way which signals Australian hiring managers actually respond to.
What we noticed
